Author Enid Blyton chose John Stirling to be the first stage “Noddy” at the age of 10. “Retiring” at the age of 17, he went into stage management and had 6 years with Morecambe & Wise. With Dame Judy Dench and June Brown, MBE, he created the Michael Elliott Donkey Trust, and now looks after the Queen’s donkey’s at the Palce.
