Come and join us at the Medway Centre
The evening starts at 7:00PM with an interview with Charles, a WW2 veteran and Lancaster radio operator from RAF 37 squadron. There will also be video footage of the famous Lancaster. You are welcome to ask Charles questions during the evening, and you will also have chance to speak to Albert, a Royal Navy veteran, who was on “Flower” class corvettes during WW2 and escorted the D-Day landings, and provided protection for the Mulberry Harbour & PLUTO from submarine attack.
Bakewell Silver Band will be playing from 7:30PM
A break at about 8:20PM will give the opportunity to get refreshment from the Bar or provide another chance to to chat to the WW2 veterans.
The event will recommence at about 8:40PM and is due to end at about 9:30PM.
The Bar will be open for hot & cold drinks, as well as alcohol.
Limited disabled parking at the Medway Centre is available, but plenty of free parking is available on the DDDC car parks after 6:00PM.
